Tune in to see Hindbrain launch debut EP at the Cube

A NEW band is set to launch its first EP live over the internet.

Hindbrain will not be holding the traditional type open gig which usually marks these events, but instead will be playing to ten invited guests in their regular rehearsal room at the Malvern Cube on Saturday (April 5).

But rather than being incredibly exclusive, everyone will get the chance to celebrate the two-piece’s debut EP, called Rest in Pieces, by tuning in to the live broadcast streamed through their web page.

Alex Simons and Liam Lee-Hynes launched Hindbrain in January, named after the part of the brain which controls the heart and respiration.

“We feel that those are the functions that drums and bass controls in a band.” Alex said.

“Since there is only the two of us – one on drums and one on bass – no further brain function is required.”

Explaining why the band chose to hold an unorthodox launch event, Alex added: “This is no ordinary launch gig. Usually an EP launch would be held at a pub or a live venue with a couple of support bands. This one will be quite different.

“Liam and I have been strong supports of the Malvern Cube and really appreciate everything it does for the local community. We use the rehearsal room there regularly and find it an excellent place to play.”

Visit www.mycampage.com/hindbrain to watch the stream which starts at 7pm.
