Turning out to make a point

Malvern Editorial 6th Aug, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

THIS was the scene as dozens of residents took to a field in Malvern Link which has been targeted for a large housing development for up to 110 homes.

The protest took place at the site on Lower Howsell Road on Thursday (July 31). After developers Harris Lamb unveiled the plans several weeks ago residents have wasted no time in clubbing together to oppose any forthcoming application to the district council and more than 650 have signed a petition.

Ron Harris, organiser of the the Malvern Link Forum, has stressed a resident’s meeting at Malvern Cricket Club at 7pm on Tuesday (August 12) ‘will be the most significant chance’ for people to express their concerns to local district councillors who are expected to attend.

On Saturday, August 16 petitions will be provided in Malvern Link for anyone who wishes to sign.

Contact Ron at ronald757@btinternet.com to find out more and visit www.harrislamb.com to contact the developers directly.
