RESIDENTS of Malvern’s twin town Bagneres-de-Bigorre enjoyed a packed programme of activities on their recent visit during Civic Week.
Following last year’s twinning ceremony with the French town, the trip gave the party their first chance to sample activities reflecting Malvern life.
Coinciding with Malvern Civic Week, visitors were welcomed by Mayor Coun Cynthia Palmer before embarking on a guided tour of the town.
An ascent of the Worcestershire Beacon followed which proved to be particularly challenging in the blistering heat.
Other highlights included a day at the Three Counties Showground as well as a meal at Gallery 36 to round off a successful visit.
A trip to Bagneres will take place this October.
