OVERALL unemployment in Malvern stands at 425 claimants – exactly the same as this period last year but 61 per cent fewer than five years ago.
Within those figures the number of 18-24 year olds claiming benefits is 125 and increase of 15.
The news comes as West Midlands Police launch a major recruitment drive, specifically targeting more mature people.
Over the next three years they want to recruit 150 police community support officers, 800 new police constables and 200 specialist support staff.
