THE MAN police found in the river in Upton-upon-Severn yesterday (October 11) has been identified as 19-year-old Christopher McCabe.
Christopher went missing on Saturday (October 7) after he was last seen entering the water near Upton Bridge in the early hours of the morning.
Police search officers, along with a police helicopter and fire service colleagues were immediately deployed.
A number of people from the Upton-upon-Severn community offered to help in the search and were thanked by West Mercia Police for their support.
Specially trained police officers have been supporting the man’s family since he went missing on Saturday.
Tributes to Christopher have began flooding in on social media.
One user wrote: “Really sad read, thoughts are with his family at such a sad time.”
