IT WAS an eventful weekend for Malvern Hills Trust wardens when a vehicle caught fire in a car park on the hills.
The wardens responded to a car engine on fire at British Camp car park and had to block off a small section of the plot for health and safety.
Sawdust was quickly thrown down to absorb an oil spill caused by the car fire.
No one was injured during the incident and there was little damage to the car park and surrounding habitats. The British Camp care park remains open as usual.
A spokesperson for the Malvern Hills Trust said: “We are grateful that nobody was hurt and that there has been limited damage to the car park and surrounding habitats.”
