Volunteers across Worcestershire being sought to help reduce waste

Malvern Editorial 12th Mar, 2018 Updated: 12th Mar, 2018   0

VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help reduce waste in Worcestershire, writes Daniel Cooke.

Garden Organic is working alongside Worcestershire County Council to recruit residents to learn about waste prevention and share the message with others nationally.

Each volunteer will generally undertake roughly 30 hours per year and will gain free waste reduction training including general recycling, composting and conveying information about the love food, hate waste scheme.

Training will cover the basic elements of waste reduction as well as environmental issues and will next be held this Saturday and Sunday.

Residents can apply by contacting Rob Whitehouse from Garden Organics via email at [email protected] or by calling him on 07971 280985.
