WACKY wigs were on show when Upton Primary School enjoyed a hair-raising day to support a popular charity’s campaign.
More than 170 pupils swapped their usual school clothes for non-uniform and over the top hair styles on Thursday (October 17) to help St Richard’s Hair for Hospices campaign.
Wigs, ribbons, hats and hair dye were the order of the day as the children and staff at the school enjoyed a day of fun. Each child was asked to donate £1 to the cause.
St Richard’s fund-raiser Sarah Patrick said: “It was great to see the youngsters having fun and getting involved in raising money. We are really grateful to the kids, parents and teachers for supporting us.”
