Walking Netball comes to Malvern

Malvern Editorial 30th Apr, 2019   0

RESIDENTS who have not played netball for a while and want to get back into it can try the walking version of the game which has now arrived in Malvern.

The Walking Netball sessions have come about through a partnership between Freedom Leisure and England Netball and take place between 10am and 11am every Saturday at Sport Dyson Perrins sports hall.

Walking Netball is a slower version of the popular game, designed to suit all ages and fitness levels.

It is perfect for anyone returning from injury, getting back into exercise or just looking for something social.

Sport and physical activity are proven to help people manage medical conditions, reduce anxiety, stress or depression, improve a person’s confidence or self-esteem and bring people together.

Tom Mansfield, Sport Dyson Perrins centre manager, said he was pleased to bring Walking Netball to Malvern to ensure physical activity was available to as many people as possible.

“We hope to see many new faces.”

Sessions cost £3 per class and anyone wanting to register their interest should email Lindsay at [email protected] or call her on 07545 924953.
