Weekly sessions for cricket lovers

Malvern Editorial 3rd Dec, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

CRICKET lovers have been urged to take part in weekly sessions on offer at Malvern College.

The practices run on Tuesday evenings at 6.30pm for an hour and are open to all ages and skill levels. Four sets of nets are hired out and up to 20 people can be accommodated.

The sessions have been running since August but typically fewer than ten people attend and organisers have urged more players to take part in the fun.

Organiser Neil Carter said: “Its a bit of fun and exercise, and its a good chance for those of us who like playing to improve skills.

“We have attracted a few people already, young, old, male and female.

“There really is a mixture of abilities and it is more about having fun and the social benefits.”

The hall which is accessible from Thirlstane Road, costs £20 a night and is split between participants who attend.

Anyone interested can contact Neil Carter on 07940 177 536 for more information.
