West Worcestershire MP urges people to attend Macmillan Coffee Mornings after attending House of Commons one

THE WEST Worcestershire MP was among the 200 Members of Parliament at the House of Commons Macmillan Coffee Morning this week and she called on the people of Malvern to attend their local local events which will be taking place this week.

As GP surgeries start to re-open after the pandemic, Ms Baldwin also urged people to make sure they got any symptoms they were concerned about checked and to attend screening appointments.

She said she would be attending another Macmillan Coffee Morning – in the block where her constituency officer was in Malvern and she hoped others would join her there.

“While our focus has been on Covid for the last 20 months, many healthcare professionals are concerned that there may a risk of many more undiagnosed cancer cases and I repeat my call for people to get a check-up if they are worried about any symptom.

“Early diagnosis is critical to getting the best possible prognosis and many cancers are easily treatable if they are picked up early enough.

“I know specialist cancer care nurses play an important role helping people living with cancer but we all hope that, as our way of life returns to normal, we are able to access all the basic services to spot and treat illnesses like cancer quickly and efficiently.”
