Wine expert takes on society role

Malvern Editorial 5th Nov, 2013 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

A WINE expert has taken on the role of honorary president at a newly formed district club.

Greater Malvern Wine Society members have welcomed on board Mark Savage, who owns a wine importing and wholesaling business and has over 40 years of experience. A club spokesman said his wines were highly commended both by wine writer Jancis Robinson and television pundit Oz Clarke.

“Mark Savage is widely regarded in the trade as the possessor of a particularly acute palate, which he personally likes to think is more easily impressed by delicacy and finesse than by mere power. He has been a frequent judge at major wine competitions in the UK and USA.”
