Witnesses sought after red Golf involved in two collisions

Malvern Editorial 2nd Jun, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

WITNESSES have been called forward after the same car was involved in two collisions in an hour.

The first incident happened about 12 midday on Tuesday, May 20 when a red VW Golf glanced and hit a blue Honda Jazz on Belmont Road.

Both drivers stopped but it was reported to police the occupants of the Golf were abusive to the other motorist and proceeded to do further damage to the car.

The next incident happened at 12.30pm on Roman Way a couple of miles away when the Golf was involved with a collision with a silvery blue Vauxhall Corsa. Again the occupants were allegedly abusive to the other driver.

PC Frances Thorpe said: “Both these incidents happened in broad daylight in Malvern and it is highly likely there were bystanders who would have seen what happened.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw either of these incidents or saw the red Golf being driven around Malvern on that day to contact me.”

Anyone with information on either incident should contact PC Thorpe by calling 101 using incident reference number 282s 200514 for the Belmont Road collision and number 324s 200514 for the Roman Way incident.

Alternatively people can pass information on anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555111
