Malvern Editorial 2nd Jan, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

A WOMAN who tragically died after a car crash on Christmas Day has been named.

Michelle Clifton from Meadowsweet Court in Poolbrook, was the driver of a blue Ford Fiesta which was involved in a head-on collision with a silver Ford Focus near Kidderminster last Wednesday (December 25).

The 41-year-old was taken to the Worcestershire Royal Hospital where she was treated for a broken arm and bruising.

She was discharged but collapsed and died at her home on Friday (December 27).

The incident happened around 2.40pm on the A450 Worcester Road near Barnet Hill garden centre and police stated both vehicles were badly damaged.

A man and a woman who were passengers in the Focus were treated for bruising and seatbelt injuries.

A tribute to Ms Clifton from her friends and family is expected to be released by police next week. An inquest has yet to be opened into her death.

Witnesses or anyone with information should contact the Force Operations Support Unit at Rubery Police Station on 101 using the incident reference number 265-S-251213.
