RESIDENTS can celebrate the start of spring at the Beginning Birding Open Day at Grimley’s Wildgoose Nature Reserve.
The event on April 30 will get underway at 10am and will be run by the Worcester and Malvern branch of the RSPB.
Those in attendance will learn more about the exciting hobby of birding as well as how they can get involved.
Participants can enjoy guided walks around the reserve and honing their bird identification skills.
There will be observation viewing points where people can witness the beautiful birds at the feeding station and on the lake.
If the weather stays sunny, there will also be an opportunity to watch some bird ringing demonstrations in the morning.
Visitors can talk to members of the local group about their various conservation projects they run to assist birds as well as how they can get involved.
Refreshments will be available throughout the day, and all ages are allowed in although children must be supervised at all times.
