A WORCESTERSHIRE cricketer will stand trial early next year after pleading not guilty to two rape charges.
Alex Hepburn, 21 and formerly of Barnards Green Cricket Club, entered his pleas during a hearing at Worcester Crown Court this morning (Wednesday).
The charges relate to an alleged incident on Saturday, April 1 last year.
Hepburn was suspended on full pay by Worcestershire CCC in November after he was arrested.
He was released on bail ahead of the trial on January 7, 2019 which is expected to last seven days.
