Worcestershire families find out which school their child will be attending in September

Malvern Editorial 16th Apr, 2024   0

FAMILIES across Worcestershire have found out today (Tuesday, April 16) which primary or first school their children will be starting at this September.

Over 99% of the county’s youngest school pupils received an offer from one of their top three choices, with over 95% of pupils heading to their first choice of primary or first school to start this important education journey.

This year, the County Council received 5,542 primary school applications, and 2,860 middle school applications.

Everyone who made an application for a primary school, first school or middle school place has received an offer.

Sarah Wilkins, Director for Education at Worcestershire County Council said: “Starting school is a milestone moment for families as children begin their educational journey. It is really pleasing to see that so many children across the county will be starting at their preferred school this autumn.“

99% of this year’s primary and middle school applications in Worcestershire were made online by visiting the dedicated pages of the Council’s website.

School place offers are available to view via logging on to your account, and an email will be sent informing you of the outcome of your application.

If you are a parent of a new middle school pupil and need to understand school transport options ahead of their first term, please click the dedicated School and College Travel pages for more information.

If you are making an application you are urged to do so as soon as possible.
