THE FUTURE of Ledbury is set to be decided with the help of a consultancy company.
The team at Foxley Tagg Planning Ltd have been taken on to support Ledbury Town Council as members develop their Neighbourhood Plan.
Consultation events will be held throughout the town over the coming weeks, with the development and community engagement process expected to take 12 months following which residents will be able to vote and decide whether to adopt the plan. If approved, any new development in Ledbury would have to comply with the policies detailed in the plan.

This is a wonderful opportunity for the community to make a real difference to the future of Ledbury.”
Coun Bob Barnes, chair of the Neighbourhood Plan Working Party, added the document would be shaped by the community and would include policies on housing, retail, business and transport.
“Once the plan has been produced, consulted upon and independently examined, a referendum of all parishioners will be held to determine whether the plan should be adopted.
“The fantastic response to the town plan questionnaire showed how the people of this town are concerned about its future and wish to contribute to its development. The Neighbourhood Plan takes this process forward.”
