A MALVERN technology company is set to help identify worldwide threats by exporting the latest radar detection technology across the globe.

3SDL, based at the Malvern Hills Science Park, has developed the system in the town for it to be used by the Ministry of Defence and sold to other countries over the coming months.

The company has taken on three new staff and also opened an office in Dubai.

Chairman Dibble Clark said: “Using our experience to develop software that helps nations collaborate, where before they largely worked alone, has been very satisfying.

“It is also great to hear new members of our team brief Harriett Baldwin MP on what they see as an exciting future for us all.”

Mrs Baldwin, West Worcestershire MP, also praised ‘impressive’ plans at the firm.

“Malvern has been synonymous with radar technology since the Second World War and it is great to see 3SDL continuing this tradition, developing the latest generation of products.”
