IMPROVEMENTS works are underway at Malvern Town Football Club’s car park.
Works will involve the resurfacing and reconfiguration of the club’s main car park, along with the installation of an overflow car park.
The project began on Wednesday (July 9 and are expected to conclude in 12 weeks.
Aims for the works are to improve the accessibility, safety and visual appearance of the club, as well as reducing the amount of on-street parking around the local community during match days.
Councillor Jennie Watkins, portfolio holder for communities and housing at MHDC, said: “This is a great project which will really benefit the club, its visitors and the local community.
“It’s important we continue to invest in community hubs to help support and improve the health and wellbeing of local residents.”
The main car park will provide spaces for 51 vehicles, with four accessible bays and bike storage as well as improved pedestrian walkways, drainage, fencing and a wider entrance.
An overflow car park, located behind the south-side goal end will provide spaces for an additional 33 vehicles.
Malvern Hills District Council has invested over £425k for the upcoming project, which forms part of the Community Infrastructure Investment Plan – adopted by the council in March 2025.
The plan will see over £3m invested into the council’s own assets, including the Hill Community Centre, Sport Martley and new community open space adopted by the council in Leigh Sinton.
