PLAYTIME was made more enjoyable for youngsters in Martley after a leading housebuilder helped the village school buy a host of new toys.
Taylor Wimpey provided a £600 cash boost to Martley CofE Pre-School to help enhance outdoor playing and learning experiences.
The money was spent on a children’s wooden construction set for use indoors and four new bicycles for youngsters to enjoy in the recently-extended outdoor play area.
Kathryn Norgrove, manager and early years professional at the pre-school, said: “Following the extension of our outdoor play area, we put together a wish list of items and resources which we hope to purchase for the children to enjoy.
“We just want to say a big thank-you to Taylor Wimpey for considering us and our wish list. Their donation will make a big difference to the children.
“The children love playing outdoors and the new bikes will encourage them to be active and help them to develop large muscle physical skills.”
