COLWALL Thirds are celebrating after they walked away with the Marches League GB Liners T20 Knock-Out Cup with a 28-run victory over Kington.
After losing the toss and being put into bat, Colwall posted a score of 178-5 with the help of Jim Febery’s 42 off 19 balls and Gary Ian’s 49 off 17.
In reply, Kington were bowled out for 150 as Ben Febery (3-19) grabbed the lion’s share of the wickets from his four overs.
Colwall’s victory in the final came after they defeated Garnons by seven wickets in the semi-finals.
Garnons were bowled out for just 43 in the 11th over as Eddie Hill (4-18) and James Febery (3-9) proved clinical with the ball.
Colwall cruised to victory in the eighth over as they reached 47-3 with the help of 20 extras.
The Marches League Cup is held every year and played on a Sunday or midweek in a regionalised T20 format.
Meanwhile, Colwall Firsts will look to cement second place in Worcestershire County League Division One after Worcester Nomads clinched the title following a rain-affected weekend.
They entertain Burghill, Tillington & Weobley on Saturday.
