COLWALL and Malvern Ladies Seconds drew 2-2 against Stroud Thirds in their second West Clubs League Severn Division Three fixture on Saturday.
With a young team, C&M’s Poppy Isserlis scored the first goal followed by a second from a penalty corner injected by Lou Kalogeras.
Anna Bradley collected the ball before her long shot was deflected into the goal from the post by Kalogeras.
Emma Slater defended well on the left wing to prevent Stroud from equalising while Amber Rodway as striker got the ball confidently into the D before firing the balling just wide of the goal under extreme pressure from the visitors’ keeper.
Player of the match Bradley had a big influence throughout the game while Kalogeras had some strong passes and defended well.
Debutants Elle Taylor and Anna Ashton played while skipper Jenny Parkes was solid in goal to keep the score at 2-2 with a series of good saves.
C&M entertain Bourton & Sherborne Seconds on Saturday.
Meanwhile, C&M Ladies Firsts remain rooted to the bottom of the Severn Division One table after slumping to a 5-0 defeat at Gloucester Thirds.
Winless C&M travel to second placed Bourton & Sherborne Firsts on Saturday hoping to put an end to their three-game winless run.
