MALVERN Town surrendered a two-goal lead in a thrilling 4-3 defeat against Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
The Hillsiders recovered from an early deficit as a brace from Lewis Spurrier and Josh Allen strike put the visitors in command at the A-Class Arena.
However, Bemerton scored three second-half goals to leave the Hillsiders stunned.
The result means Malvern sit 17th in the Southern League Division One South table.
Bemerton broke the deadlock after just five minutes when Josh Moore’s chip found the net.
However, Malvern drew level less than a minute later as Spurrier finished through the legs of the goalkeeper.
And the visitors completed the turnaround on the stroke of half time when Allen converted Spurrier’s through ball.
Spurrier grabbed his second of the game shortly after half time with a composed finish.
Bemerton reduced the deficit on 57 minutes when Leighton Thomas found the bottom corner.
And the home side drew level on 72 minutes as George Higgins’ deflected effort beat Mateusz Wieczorek in the Malvern goal.
Bemerton won the game with five minutes left to play when substitute Ionel Lolot smashed home.
Malvern are next in action away at Westbury United on Tuesday, October 1 with kick-off at 7.45pm at Meadow Lane.
