FORMER Malvern Town winger Ben Hayes has departed Bishops Cleeve and joined up with Westfields.
Hayes, who netted 20 times for the Hillsiders last season, joined Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South & West outfit Cleeve at the start of the 2016/17 campaign.
But the pacy winger has now joined up with Midland League Premier Division side Westfields, who remarkably reached the first round of the FA Cup this season, because he ‘wanted a change’.
Speaking to Gloucestershire Live, Cleeve boss Steve Cleal said: “Ben wanted a change and he will be a loss for us, but I don’t want players who won’t want to be here.”
