HANLEY Castle & Upton were left licking their wounds following their 219-run defeat to Five Ways Old Edwardians in Worcestershire County League Division Three.
Five Ways were put into bat after losing the toss where Usmaan Mahmood’s 90 went some way to the visitors’ total of 298-5 from 50 overs.
In reply only Will St Ledger Chambers (10) and Daniel Powell (10) notched up double figures for Hanley who were skittled out for 79 after 31 overs.
Jon Bassett (4-23) was the pick of the Five Ways bowlers.
