Hanley Castle & Upton remain in bottom two after Harborne defeat

STRUGGLING Hanley Castle & Upton are yet to register a win in Worcestershire County League Division Three as they fell to a 47-run defeat to Harborne.

Harborne chose to bat after winning the toss where they posted 206-9 from their allocated 50 overs.

Opener Ian Powick (58) top scored while Tony Hutchings (4-21) starred with the ball.

In reply Hanley were hustled out for 159 in the 49th over.




Will St Leger-Chambers (72 not out) top scored while Matthew Pratley (17) and Rory Mathews (33) were the only other Hanley players to reach double figures.

Abhinash Nirantharakumar (4-30) did the damage with the ball.


Hanley travel to Martley on Saturday.
