MALVERN Town climbed to second place in the West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division after they beat Wellington 4-0 last night (Tuesday).
The Hillsiders continued their unbeaten start to the new league campaign with a dominant display against the Herefordshire outfit.
An opening strike from winger Lewis Platt put Malvern up inside the opening 20 minutes before striker Dave Reynolds made it 2-0 from the penalty spot later in the first half.
Malvern continued their dominance and put the game out of sights for the hosts early in the second half when Paul Edwards made it 3-0 netting home a cross from Bryan Craven.
And Les Jones’ high-flying side wrapped it up in style in the 80th minute when Nathan Hughes’ nice finish made it 4-0.
Malvern visit league leaders Wolverhampton Sporting on Saturday.
