A DEDICATED group of Malvern Joggers started 2015 with an impressive showing in the New Year’s Day 10k race in Hereford.
The event, which was organised by Wye Valley Running Club, saw a host of runners tackle the on-road course, which takes competitors through rural Herefordshire.
Battling against the undulating conditions, the Joggers put in some excellent performances as Ben Toon (41mins 18secs) and Mark Cooling (52mins 40secs) recorded personal best times.
Jon Newey finished quickest as he came sixth with a time of 37mins 23secs while Megan Judge grabbed a podium position as she crossed the line in 43mins 50secs to come third in the ladies’ section.
There were also several winners in the age categories, with Lucy Poole claiming the female over 40 category in 47mins 15secs, Kareen Mann taking the female over 55 category in 49mins 53secs and Stuart Brown coming out on top in the male over 60 category in 44mins 50secs.
