Craig Gibbons 11th Jun, 2018

JOSHUA JONES hit a century for Kempsey who came away from their Worcestershire County League Division Two clash against Oldswinford & Stourbridge Social with a tie.

O&SS were put into bat with Ben Simpkin (77), Andy Jones (44 not out) and Wilf Munn (43) leading the way as the visitors amassed 245-7 from their allotted 50 overs.

In reply Kempsey were making good headway before Jones (117) departed, leaving the hosts at 215-6.

Unfortunately the lower order just could not get Kempsey over the winning line as they finished on 245-9 to pick up 14 points.

Kempsey travel to Bredon on Saturday.
