KEMPSEY are still waiting for their first Worcestershire County League Division Two victory after they crashed to a nine-wicket home defeat to Enville.
Last season’s Division Three runners-up looked to have posted a big target after notching up 264-8 from their 50 overs.
Chris Jones (87 not) led the way with the bat while Joe Worthington (51) chipped in with a useful half century.
But Enville made light work of claiming victory as Jonathan Howell’s unbeaten 126 help fire the visitors to 265-1 in just the 34th over.
Matthew Branch (60) and Greg Tomkins (44no) also contributed to Enville’s cause.
Kempsey make the trip to Himbleton on Saturday.
