KEMPSEY’S woes with the bat in Worcestershire County League Division Two continued as they crashed to a crushing 274-run defeat at league leaders Bromyard.
Bromyard chose to bat after winning the toss with openers Edd Oliver (106) and Nick Leighton (91) putting on 210 for the first wicket as the hosts reached 332-5 after 50 overs.
Josh van Rensburg also finished unbeaten on 43.
Kempsey were then skittled out for just 58 in their reply, with van Rensburg (4-31) and James Owens (5-8) causing havoc for the ball for Bromyard who recorded their biggest even win in the Worcestershire County League.
Third-from-bottom Kempsey head to Droitwich Spa on Saturday.
