Harnden, a member of Malvern Cycle Sport, made it back-to-back national titles after storming into first place in the Youth Girls category.

Louis Brooks and Jayden Randell also put in solid performances at the championships with Brooks finishing 19th in the Youth Boys race while Randell, who was making his debut national championship appearance, came in 24th in the XX race.

Evie Richards won her first MTB national title after coming first in the under-23 category following an impressive performance with Liam Killeen walking away with the bronze medal in the Senior category.

Stan Pritchard and Dave Creber were also awarded bronze medals in the Junior and under-23 category races respectively.

Elsewhere, Ross Harnden put on a great performance in the Junior race after he battled his way back up to seventh following an early crash on the first lap.

The next event for Malvern Cycle Sport members will be the final round of the MTB Series on Saturday, August 6 at Cannock Chase where a number of riders will defend their elite titles.
