MALVERN Town extended their unbeaten start to 2016 after thrashing Smethwick Rangers 6-0 last night (Tuesday).
The emphatic win at the HDAnywhere Community Stadium moved Les Jones’ in-form side into fifth place in the West Midlands (Regional) Premier Division.
Malvern are now unbeaten in seven league matches and have only lost one in 13.
The club now sit on 45 points just five points behind third placed AFC Bridgnorth – though they have four games in hand over Malvern.
Malvern next entertain league leaders Shawbury United on Saturday.
