MALVERN Town Football Club has launched a new text service in a bid to increase attendances at the Langland stadium.
Supporters can now use the free service to be kept up to date with the club’s fixtures list.
When tasked with the problem of keeping fans informed about an ever-changing fixture schedule, the directors of the football club came to the conclusion text messages were the best solution moving forward.
Malvern messaging firm Textlocal runs the software for the service updates and have generously donated the club free credit to run the service.
Chris Pinder, managing director of Malvern Town Football Club, said: “A text message is by far the best way to notify supporters of fixtures. Taking into account the wide spectrum of ages who enjoy watching Malvern Town, the constant between them all is the mobile phone.
