Malvern Town's full 2016/17 league fixtures released

THE FULL fixture list for Malvern Town’s 2016/17 West Midlands (Regional) League campaign has been released.

Following their 5-0 victory at Smethwick on the opening day of the league season last night (Wednesday), Malvern have a run of three consecutive home games as they welcome Bilston Town Community (Saturday), Pegasus Juniors (August 17) and Bewdley Town (August 24) to the HDAnywhere Community Stadium.

Les Jones’ side then face a tough fixture away at potential title favourites AFC Bridgnorth, who have ended the last two campaigns as runners-up, on Saturday, August 27 before completing the month on Bank Holiday Monday (August 29) at Herefordshire-based Wellington.

Malvern entertain┬álast season’s Division One champions Shifnal Town on Saturday, December 10 with the return fixture on Saturday, February 11.

There’s no Boxing Day fixture but the Hillsiders will entertain Wolverhampton Sporting Community on New Year’s Eve (December 31).

Malvern complete their league season away to Ellesmere Rangers on Saturday, April 29.
