MALVERN remain rooted to the foot of the Worcestershire County League Division Three table following their eight-wicket defeat to Avoncroft.
Neil Thompson hit an unbeaten 69 for the Ramblers who were all out for 156 in the 36th over.
Simon Pearce (31), Lewis Hill (13) and Jeremy Pilgrim (10) were the only other players to hit double figures while Jonathan Hunter (5-46) and Paul Athey (4-36) wreaked havoc with the ball.
Avoncroft wasted little time in claiming victory, racing to 159-2 in just the 17th over with the help of Daniel Elliott’s quickfire 67 off 38 balls.
