RUSHWICK claimed maximum points in their Worcestershire County League Division Three opener with a 71-run victory over Bromsgrove Thirds.
Bromsgrove opted to field after winning the toss and managed to bowl Rushwick out for 160 in the 47th over.
Thomas Downing (4-62) got the share of the wickets while No.9 batsman James Marsh (41) top-scored for the hosts who made light work of skittling Bromsgrove out for just 89 in reply.
Liam Probert returned with the best figures, taking three wickets from his six overs which including four maidens.
Lewis Hooper (3-21) and Marsh (2-26) were the other wicket-takers.
