AN ATHLETE from Tenbury Wells is hoping to go one better at this year’s Stihl Timbersports British Pro Championship.
Robert Chatley finished second in last year’s event as he just missed out on the national title.
Stihl Timbersports is an international extreme sports competition series.
And the 40-year-old, who has competed in the British Pro Championship since 2012, will line-up against the UK’s top woodchopping talent at the Royal Three Counties Show in Malvern.
The British Pro Championship takes place on Saturday, June 14.
Athletes will compete in six disciplines – stock saw, standing block chop, single buck, underhand chop, springboard and hot saw.
Chatley finished second behind defending champion Glen Penlington who has won the British title in each of the last three years.
Chatley previously won the British Pro Championship in 2014.
