Craig Gibbons 18th Jun, 2018

WEST Malvern emphatically returned to winning ways in Worcestershire County League Division Four with a ten-wicket rout at struggling Hallow Taverners.

Peter Gurr (4-12) and Matthew Hartley (3-27) shone with the ball to remove Hallow out for 158 in the 49th over.

Dan Collins (48) top scored for the hosts.

Malvern wasted little time in claiming victory, racing to 162 without loss in the 23rd over through Philip Chaundy (76 not out) and Matthew Blatherwick-Hindmarsh (83no).

Malvern make the trip to Astwood Bank Thirds on Saturday.
