Worcester Nomads edged out by Hagley

WORCESTER Nomads could not make it back-to-back wins in Worcestershire County League Division One as they suffered a 16-run defeat to Hagley.

Hagley skipper Michael Stead top scored with 54 as the hosts racked up 252-9 from their allotted 50 overs.

Cameron Blakey (3-50) was pick of the Nomads bowlers.

In reply Nomads opener Guy Davies (49) and No.3 batsman David White (78) laid the foundations to chase down their target.




However, Nomads could not quite claim victory as they were limited to 236-8.

Daniel Giles (3-57) and Neil Hurst (3-29) did the damage with the ball for Hagley.


Nomads travel to Pedmore on Saturday.
