Worcester Nomads fall to seven-wicket defeat to rivals Worcester

MOHAMMED ADEEL bagged a five-fer for Worcester who got the better of rivals Worcester Nomads by seven wickets in Worcestershire County League Division One.

Nomads were inserted into bat after losing the toss where only Sam Roberts (39), Lewis Austin (24) and Ben Schiffmann (25) broke into double figures as the hosts were bowled out for 122.

Adeel returned with 5-36 from his 17 overs while Luke Deeprose (3-29) and Anees Tariq (2-15) took the remaining wickets.

In reply, Bryn Evans then hit an unbeaten 53 to guide Worcester to 126-3.

Worcester travel to Bewdley on Saturday while Nomads make the trip to Burghill, Tillington & Weobley.
