RUSHWICK remain just one point outside the Worcestershire County League Division Three promotion spots after claiming a two-wicket victory over bottom-of-the-table Malvern.
Malvern were put into bat after losing the toss where opener Matt Carver crashed 101 to fire the visitors to 223 all out.
Rob Francis also chipped in with 44 while Clive Jones (4-49) took the lion’s share of the wickets.
In reply, Paul Wyatt crashed 108 and Alistair Rob hit 57 as Rushwick reached 226-8.
Rushwick travel to Harborne on Saturday while Malvern entertain Avoncroft.
