THERE were plenty of celebrations when Malvern Rugby’s young guns were crowned the winners of the Worcester Festival Cup.
Malvern Jaguars – the town’s under eights side – beat Worcester Yellows 25-15 at Worcester Warriors’ Sixways Stadium to get hold of the trophy.
Earlier in the competiton they won all their pool matches, beating Worcester Blues 40-20, St Bernadettes 35-20, Chiswick 50-25 and Hereford 35-15.
The Malvern Jaguars team consisted of Seth Essenhigh, Arthur Stonehouse, Nansi Robinson, Callum Houlston, Damien Duncan, Louie Tame, Daniel Arridge and Meghan Alley. They were coached by Paul Essenhigh.
