THE ENVIRONMENT Agency has confirmed it is investigating what has caused a pond in Malvern to turn green.
Police have reported the unusual colour of the stream of Moats Pond near to Madresfield Road and Malvern Town FC’s HDAnywhere Community Stadium.
Malvern Town Council has also looked into the issue but operations manager Charles Porter told the Observer the authority has not been able to find the source of the problem.
Police have then have reported the issue to the Environment Agency.
Malvern officers tweeted earlier today: “#GreenStream the waters of Moat Pond are now green @EnvAgencyMids – AnyInfo? #GreenerMalvern We wouldn’t eat the fish.”
