Views sought on Priory Park improvement project

Malvern Editorial 26th Apr, 2016 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016   0

MALVERN residents are being encouraged to help shape the future of Priory Park by suggesting improvement ideas.

Malvern Hills District Council has been allocated funds from planning agreements – known as section 106 funding – to put towards a project to improve play provision at the park.

It will include improvements to the existing play area but council chiefs are keen to find out what else people would like to see.

Residents and park users are being asked to complete a short online survey which will help officers work up some designs for the new play area.

Views are being sought on the size of the existing play area, the excitement factor of the play equipment and whether or not there should be a separate area created just for teenagers to use.

Coun David Watkins, responsible for healthier communities on the district council, said: “Rather than design something we think young people and parents want, we want to give them and other park users the opportunity to tell us what they think the new play area should look like and anything else they would like to see.”

Visit www.malvernhills.gov.uk/public-notices to complete the survey. Deadline for responses is Sunday, June 5.
