AS 2021 comes to a close, we look back at the year and the most popular stories on our Malvern Observer website.

We have loved bringing you all the latest news, sport and entertainment over the past 12 months and the interaction with our readers during the past year – both on our website and on social media.

Since January 1, more than 96,000 people have logged onto the Malvern Observer website, with almost 385,000 page views.

As is probably true in the national news, our best-read stories have been dominated by Covid-19 – whether it be about vaccination centres or the latest news and figures on the different variants.

Stories involving the emergency services also continue to be popular, along with our county council election coverage.

But there have been plenty of others which have caught your attention.

The unveiling of 63 new affordable homes in Malvern was extremely popular in October. Click below to read the full story.
