Babajack to support Status Quo in upcoming gig

Malvern Editorial 26th Jun, 2014 Updated: 20th Oct, 2016

A POPULAR Malvern band have landed themselves the gig of a lifetime.

BabaJack will be supporting Status Quo at a concert at Clumber Park in Nottinghamshire on Friday, August 15.

Status Quo are regarded as one of the country’s finest rock bands in the music industry and are renowned for their famous hits including Whatever You Want, In The Army Now and Rocking All Over The World.

In the early 1990s the band, which comprises Francis Rossi and Rick Parfitt, received a Brit Award for Outstanding Contribution to Music.

Becky Tate from BabaJack said: “This is an amazing opportunity for us. And from the initial response it seems that there are more than a few BabaJack fans who are Quo fans too. Whatever happens, it’s going to be a hell of a show.”

News of the supporting gig continues a fine year for the band who only last month received a trio of nominations in this year’s British Blues Awards.
